1, 2, 3......12

This morning I caught Presley under the tree. I asked her she was doing. Her response... " I am counting how many presents I have."

This afternoon, after Presley's gymnastics class we went to Target to get some Christmas ornaments and went home, cooked dinner, and let the girls decorate the tree. It looks so pretty! I love it!

Yesterday, was a BIG day. It started out by finding sweet sweet Juliet in Presley's room on the floor reading a book. Oh my gosh, it was so sweet.

And I did a little bit of sewing and while I was doing that Presley played in her Play-Doh. I looked up and she was hiding her little animals in a blob of it. I didn't say anything. I just let her do her thing. She was about to have a tough time at the doctors office anyways.

We had to take her to the doctors office for her 4 year check up. It's a BIG visit with lots of shots and pricks to the finger. I made the appointment 6 months ago and didn't tell her about it. About 3 hours before we had to be there, John and I sat down with her and told her where she had to go. She HATES, and I mean HATES, getting shots. And I really don't like taking her to get them. But I have to..... Anyways. she starts stressing and cries a little bit and says she wants the one that gets sprayed into her nose (the flu mist). That goes on till we get there.

When we get there, she is fine until I go to remove her pants. She held my neck so tight and wouldn't let go. She's was screaming...right in my ear! I finally had to sit so I can hold her and I had to pry her hand off of my neck so they can prick her finger for a little bit of blood. So they got the blood and she stops screaming. I go back to trying to get her pants off and she grabs my neck again and pulls her knees up to my armpits. That girl is soooo strong and made of muscle. They (the 2 nurses) had to help me straighten out her legs to get her pants down. We finally get the shots done. She screamed sooooooooooooo loud and that again was right in my ear. Her little face was so red. I just held her until she stopped crying.

After her shots, her mouth was still doing that spasming thing that happens when you cry that hard. I got her to take a few deep breaths and compose herself. And we left the room. I let her take as many stickers and lollipops as she wanted! When we got out to the waiting room, John said, "Was there another kid back there getting their shots too?" I was like, "Nope, both screams came from our daughter." Everyone in that office could hear my poor poor Presley. I am just glad we don't have to do that again long time to come.

After that we took her to the mall for an ice cream.
That made it all better!
Here's Presley's stats:
Height: 39 inches (50%)
Weight: 32 pounds (25%)
BMI: 14.7 (25%)

Dr. Mehendale said Presley was perfect & not to change a thing!
Presley was a little bummed that she has to remain inthe carseat. She really wants to graduate to a booster big girl seat. But she isn't quite big enough to. And her doctor said that we may want to consider introducing nuts to her before she gets them in school or something. So, John and I will be scheduling sometime for a night in the ER parking lot with some peanut butter & Presley sometime in the future......better safe than sorry!

And the girls did a little Christmas shopping.....
And when we got home, we started putting our tree together.....
We usually do a real tree every year, but this year we did something a bit different. We went with a pre-lit white one (from Walmart). We originally thought we'd get a small fake cheap tree to throw out afterwards. Then we thought..."hey, we'd keep it and let the girls have some old Christmas stories and mom and dad's ugly white tree from walmart." But when we got it home and put it up, it was so darn cute! Now they won't have any funny stories. Now they'll be like, "We used to have this perfect white tree with pink, purple, blue, orange, and green lights with the best topper.....a pink "Angel" Santa hat!" Presley wants me to make the tree a TUTU for the tree skirt!
