Grocery Store after Grocery Store after Grocery Store

Today the girls and I spent a total of about 5 1/2 hours in grocery stores. Three of them....

1st we went to Central Market to meet Liza & Ethan. The kids had a blast. The kids ate samples, drank lime-ade, and picked out some candy. Then we ate lunch there and played in the playground.

Some little boy just made Presley stronger! He and a group of his little boy friends told her that she couldn't climb up the rope because she was a girl and she was too small. She cried and cried for about 2 minutes. I told her not to let him say she couldn't do it & just do it. So she worked on climbing that rope until she did it. And she climbed it and climbed it and climbed it!

So, he just made her a stronger female! (funny lil' side note- I just kinda popped my neck/head in the way you would when you'd say something like "You go girl!")

After Central Market, we headed home to let Maggie out of her crate for a while.

Then we headed to store #2, Kroger! I spent $37 and saved $50. Woot Woot!

Then ran home, dropped the groceries off and ran up to store #3, Tom Thumb. Piper was sooo sick of being in the cart by the time we got to the store. She didn't want her activities, her FOOD, nothin'! All that would work was a marker. I had a dry erase on me. So, use your imagination....it was on her face, bilateral arms, she raised her pain legs and drew on her knees. And when someone would notice and talk to her, she'd show them all of limbs...pull up her pant legs and everything. Hey...what ever keeps her quiet so I can shop! I should have taken a picture, but it was 7 o'clock by the time I got home and I was....am soooo tired!

BTW.... I spent $46 and saved $89. Heck yeah!!!

Okay, I gotta hit the hay...tomorrow is another full day of stuff.

The NEW Food Group!

Did you know that Candy is the new food group!

That's what Presley told me tonight at dinner. She was listing all the foods she needed to eat and she mentioned candy as a food group and it's okay to eat it as long as you eat eat equal parts of other foods like green beans, potatoes, peas, etc.

Now I have an image in my head of how every 4 year old out there sees the food pyramid, with candy at the top of the list.

Welp, the week started out rough with the nasty rainy cold weather and Presley being sick. But it surely did end well!

We have been soooo silly these last few days. Must be the lack of sugar from the no coke thing or something making us so delirious! What ever it is....it's been so fun to hear the girls giggle!!

FRIDAY, we went to do our taxes then went and walked around the Galleria.

SATURDAY, we went to Lowes...so early in the morning, then we napped until like 5pm. Then hung out at one of of our other homes until John had to go to work (Target).

The girls got to make a Flower Rain Gauge at Lowes.

SUNDAY, we were up and down taking morning naps and being lazy until about 1130. We finally got our booties in gear and headed outdoors to enjoy the GORGEOUS weather! We are cleaning the yard up for Piper's party! It's gonna be FUN!

Anyways, today we played outside, ate MEXICAN FOOD & I had a margarita...a swirl one! YUM! Then went to Walmart, Lowes, and Home Depot for a few things. Then we headed back home to do more yard work.

No more sand pit for the girls...it's now a nice soft grassy area! Keep your fingers crossed that the grass does well and grows!

A Trip to the Zoo

We took a trip to the zoo yesterday. It was soooo much fun. We only stayed for a couple of hours...maybe 3 or so before it started pouring!

I don't know if you caught a glimpse of those clouds over Oak Cliff...Whew, those things were eerie looking! I had never seen clouds like that before, they looked like upside down mountains or something.

Anyways, we had fun, didn't see many animals, we mostly stayed in the kid's area. The girls had a blast!

And finally the rain... We were really sad at first. We thought the zoo fun was over. Until...

We let the kids play in the rain!!! They had soooo much fun! They were so wet by the time we got to the car, they ended up riding home pantless and snuggled in a towel.

You know Juliet has to try everything....she loved the rain!

And John and I happy the kiddos are happy!
