We looked at 3 more houses tonight....
Delmar House, Plano
This house was on it's way to being perfect until we went down the hall way to the bedrooms.
Has a nice big front yard.
The fence would have to be replaced immediately. If we let Maggie loose in that back yard, she'd find her way through those jacked up planks and escape!
A high school with a NICE running track and a park with a playground was at the end of the street.
Pretty foyer.
Until I saw the wall was separating from the floor.
Dining area, LOVE the floors! The are real wood too!
Kitchen has tons of potential.
Not sure what this is used for over the stove. Oh, needs new appliances.
Breakfast area. Love the kind of bay window thing going on.
Lots of cracks seen around this house.
Love the floors again! I don't like that fireplace or those white built ins. But without messing up the floors, I can't demolish those two things.
Turned their back porch into a small solarium.
Hallway to the bedrooms. Once again, the kid's rooms are at the front of the house.
Guest bathroom
Okay, this is the master bath. WAY CRAMPED!
The backyard....I like it and the kids can run around! I still like mine better though.
Ables House, Plano
Okay, the roof on this house was replaced in 2008. Last year. They chose to put a green roof on this house. GREEN roof!
See GREEN!
Wall paper in the guest bathroom. And the tubs in both bathrooms would have to be removed. They looked super gross!
It wasn't enough to wallpaper the walls, the did all the outlet covers too!
Dining area....they forgot their curtains and box thing above them.
Nice windows in the living room.
More wallpaper. This bathroom looks like mine. Except I like mine better!
I don't know what the heck this room was. It had a gross feeling!
Kitchen was do-able, needs some TLC and new appliances.
I have always wanted a weeping willow tree and they have one!
And we couldn't figure out what the heck this thing was....
nice backyard, but still, no running around yard for the kids.
Hearthstone House, Carrollton
This house was very open, but you could tell it was owned by an older person. It needed lots of TLC. And the walk way up to the house had cracks in it. That scares me....all I can think is foundation issues and that equals lots of $$$$$. But it was a nice house, but a weird floor plan and didn't look very well thought out either. Lots of wasted space.
Nice Foyer. I like the double door thing. BTW...there were mirrors every where in this house! And I am not sure why the weights were there. Those ceramic tiles were through out the house along with some blue/silver plush carpet. Pretty...but not our style.
Master bedroom....open and airy. But maybe too airy if someone was in the bathroom while I was in the bedroom. I might be able to smell something. Ewww!
I don't like the color of these cabinets. Nor do I like that nearly every house I have gone into with a stand up shower is brass. Gross!
Comfy Living with a wet bar behind the couch. And the dining behind the living area. Two bedrooms are just off to the right with another bathroom....very very very outdated bathroom at that! I also don't understand why people carpet the dining room. My kids are messy! Are mine the only ones?
Second living area. Nice.
Not sure what this are is. It's kinda like a common ground between the two living areas and the breakfast area and the back door. Wasted space if you ask me.
Kitchen area/ breakfast nook/ or informal dinig area. I think I'd knock a whole in the wall and open up to the living area and carry the kitchen into this area. This kitchen is super small with hardly any counter space. See more mirrors. Even one behind the stove.
Kitchen...too small!
Nice groomed back yard....but not enough room for the kids to run!
So that was it for today. We are still waiting to find that perfect home! And I am becoming increasingly aggravated with not being able to find what we want that I think we may have to really start looking in other cities. I may have to go out of my comfort zone....UGG!

I hated the last two houses. The old people house had too much carpet. I don't like light carpet because my kid has a bad habit of spilling and staining carpets. I loved the first house. Too bad it's got cracks all over the place. I even like the built ins. I think it's because I don't have shelving and am in desperate need of bookshelves (but hubby doesn't want to spend the money on good ones and I don't want to buy really cheap ones). I don't like the fireplace either but that's because I have one just like that one and it's kinda too much for this house but we can't really afford to have it redone to look more modern.
Good Luck with the search. I can't wait till you find "the one."
Exactly girl! I am not a fan of light carpet. i have two messy girls and a DOG! I need my carpet to hide stains! lol
I hate fireplaces. i'd be in heaven if i could find a house without one. I think they take up an entire wall! I have lived 10 yrs without being able to use one wall in my house now. :(
