My NEW Status!

I use to tell John that I wanted us to be the "cool" mom & dad so that when the girls made friends, their friends would rather hang out at our house rather than their house. The girls would be home and we'd know that they are safe and staying out of trouble.

Well, IT'S HAPPENED!!! Here's how...

Hannah, our neighbor, spent most of Saturday afternoon and evening over here snacking on grapes and ice cycle pops outside while I did some yard work, having a pizza picnic for dinner & watching a movie, then they played with play-doh, and then we made plaster of paris hearts to paint the next day, and we picked out an activity to build on Sunday(I usually grab extra stuff from the Home Depot and Lowes workshops).

The next day, Sunday, I had to go to the grocery stores in the morning. I went to Kroger and dropped the stuff back at home before heading to Tom Thumb. When we got here, Hannah was waiting for us. So I asked if Hannah could go to Tom Thumb with us. So we went to Tom Thumb and came back home.

OH, BTW, I saved $90 at the grocery stores yesterday & only spent $80.

Anyways...When we got home, Hannah started to build her activity while Presley played in the sprinklers. Hannah's mom came over a few minutes later and told me that Hannah came home telling her about how much fun she had over my house and all the stuff they got to do. Her mom told her that she could do all of that at her house. Hannah's response was, "No way, I want to do it over there. She is a cool mom!"
I still can't believe it is warm enough outside for the kids to play in the water! It's insane!
So there it is...my status has been from just a mom to a "COOL" mom!

How sweet is that!

Here's some pics from the rest of our day.

Hannah & Presley working so nice and quiet.
John and Ivan started working on the fence.
Piper just waking up and coming outside to watch the kids while she eats her lunch.
Notice she has marker all over her... This is what they do when they go grocery shopping with me. I take them stuff to keep them busy. I get all kinds of odd looks since the girls are all drawn on, but hey, it's dry erase marker that comes off in 2 seconds with a wipey AND I can shop. So what ever works, right!
Lookin' pretty good
Here's the kiddos crafting away
John is helping Cameron out with his project.
Ivan invited us over for a fajita dinner. It was YUMMY!
Here is Presley chillin' with her best friend.
Maggie being a super bad girl!
This is why we are having to replace the fence. Maggie can nearly fit her little body under the fence. She wants to play with Bob sooo bad!
Maggie all nice, clean, and shiney. She got a very unwanted bath outside.
