Okay, I was going through my old pics of the house from the time we bought it till now. And wow! You oughta see some of the colors we had painted on of the bedrooms (the one that is now the girls play room). Man O' Mighty! I can't believe no one said anything!
This is how it started....
Then we painted it green. Not any shade of green either. It was actually lime a lime neon green. It was so bright that the room looked like it was glowing from the street. So John had to go through the room and give it a white wash to kill some of the neon effect. OH LORDY!
This picture is pretty funny....maybe to me, not to John. To him, this may represent the death of his bachelor hood, along with the mustard yellow corduroy pull out couch, coffee table, and his beloved TV fish tank that he built.
Then we painted it some weird red/orange/yellow looking color. I have no idea why either! Had to be John's idea! Or at least that beer sitting on the windowsill had to of had something to do with it.
I think I had it my way this time....I painted it a nice cream color. It took several coats of kilz and the behr paint to cover that read leather lookin' paint job. I ended up hating that color too. After having the room with color for so many years, I got use to it. The creamy color looked blah and dull. But clean I guess. Lookey...Spot is in the picture! I sure do miss my kitties!
Awwww, look at my Lucky!
Then after the blah color, I painted the room a nice light blue! I actually found out I was pregnant with Presley when I started paint it that color. Presley grew up with those walls that color....
And she grew attached to them. When I painted them this antique white color a couple of weeks ago, she was NOT happy at all! She wants color back on the walls. Maybe in our next house.......
So that would be the color history of this room.......pretty fun walking down memory lane.
