April Update

This is gonna be a long one, it's been a busy month....

The month started with a little gift that came in the mail from Jessica. In the box was some of John's favorites (Moon Pies), my favorite (lemon tea cookies), and two gorgeous little bracelets for the girls. What a great start to a busy month.

Deep Ellum Arts Fest and Family Easter Gathering at Mom's House

We started the Easter weekend with Uncle Robert, Richard, and Kethany at the Deep Ellum Arts Festival. The girls love going downtown to see Uncle Robert!

1st gymnastics class at the local rec center & Maggie meets Nina

The girls had a blast, but I was horrified! This class was so unorganized and the teachers had no clue what gymnastics or tumbling was! I was so close to pulling them out of class but saw how much fun they were having. I did however end up taking them from that class a week later when the instructor didn't show up the following week.

After gymnastics, we headed home to meet Nina! She belongs to Ethan and Zenon and is absolutely gorgeous. She is also every bit as sweet as Maggie too.

They actually wore each other out! I thought that was impossible for Maggie!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JULIET!!!!!!!!!!!!
Piper's party was full of activities and games! The theme was Dora and Diego. We had pinata bag decorating, coloring sheets, a little pastel donkey pinata, sand box, pin the tail on the donkey, hula hoop contest, musical seats, face painting , and just good old plain fun! John grilled fajitas, he set up a little kitchen out in the driveway. Us women had to help out by cooking up some of the meat in the kitchen. I need a BIGGER kitchen!

Poor Maggie had to go to the vet today to get all of her vaccines up to date. And for her 1 1/2 year check up. She's perfect said the vet! Yay! Now she is ready for more Doggie Play dates and our up coming trip down to Fredericksburg.

I didn't get any good pics of Nater's party! :(
But today we went to his house for his big "9" birthday party and helped him celebrate and then us mom's rounded up the kid's and headed to the mall and the men headed out for a guys night.

We did a little wedding dress window shopping with Kim and Liza and I had our short lived "Williams - Sonoma" moment. I did get a perfect egg timer. And it works!!!!!! John loves my hard boiled eggs!!!!!!!!

Super Doggie Play date! We had Twig (Meagan's dog), Juno (Xenia's dog), and Nina (Liza's dog) over. Those pups played all day!!!!!!!!!!! Juno was the 1st to arrive about 10 in the morning and Twig was the last to leave about midnight. Maggie and Twig finally crashed about 730 or so.

All four got along so well too! I was so happy! We laughed so much too!

Maggie started humping all the dogs! She's a girl! Everyone tried convincing me that it is dominance thing! How embarrassing! I still cannot believe she was humping the others! I've never ever seen that before!

I couldn't help myself, these are the three most beautiful little girls ever! And I love that they love my monsters!


While the doggies had their party, us girls had a little tea party.

Xenia and Little Helena had to head out early. I am going to miss you two when you move to Germany!

After Liza and Xenia left, Meagan and I did some crafting and the girls did some napping. Then we ordered pizza for dinner. And for the bedtime activity, John and Meagan played a game with the girls.

Welp, that's been my April thus far! Very Interestingly busy I tell you! Hopefully I can keep up this blog so they (my posts) aren't all so long!

Spring Time is in the Air!

Two of my most favorite seasons have to be Spring and Fall! And I am loving this spring weather! It's sooooooooooo nice! It's rainy, cool in the mornings, breezy, perfect in the afternoons, and sunny! Love it! And the kids and I are trying to make the most of it!

Yesterday, as soon as it quit raining and hailing, the sun greeted us with open arms and invited us outside to play! And we jumped on it! 1st we threw on some painting clothes and started painting John's old work bench that he said we could us for our gardening work. The girls had a blast! When John got home I told him about all the flowers and rainbows that we were going to paint on his work bench...he said,"That ain't my workbench anymore with rainbows and flowers..." It was really too cute the way he said it!

Anyways, after that, the girls blew bubbles, did some sidewalk chalk art, planted sunflowers and herbs, rode their big wheels, and hula hooped, and then we all racked up leaves and started on cleaning up the yard!

Our seeds to plant and African Violet clippings to be transplanted into some dirt! Pre-baby and when owning a home was new and fun, John and I had the BEST herb garden ever! This year we are going to attempt it again!

I love spring time toys! I love all the bright colors! Makes me happy!

We came in about 630 in the evening and I bathed those dirty children and gave them a nice much needed haircut! Especially Presley. She loves my "Princess" cuts!

And John, being such a sweet hubby, brought home dinner so I didn't have to cook! Wheh...I was so happy! Mickey D's! Yum!

Then the girls were put down with a story, lullaby, guitar lesson, and a few tucks from dad they were quickly off to sleep.

It was a great day!

AND THEN TODAY.........Was also wonderful! The girls got to hang out with their cousins and grandma. We went to the library story time, where they read stories, danced, sang, and did a craft. Then we ate at Chic-Fil-A, where we met the cow! THEN we went to the park and walked around the ponds and soared like birdies, sang songs, did some pencil rolls, and did a whole lot of red lighting.... After our walk, we played in the playground for a while.

This was HUGE accomplishment for Presley! I took 3 tries and she made it all the way across! GO PRESLEY!

I hope our spring time fun never ends!

Why Do I Have to Pick a Team????

Alrighty now....it's official. I actually went to the theater yesterday where I met up with Liza and Karen to watch New Moon! We are a real pack of "Twlight Mom's" now! And I don't regret it a single bit! The acting still left much to be desired, but it was easily overlooked by Edwards sexy crooked smile and his eyes that were made just for me (atleast that what he tells me in my daydreaming sessions) and Jacobs washboard abs that Liza and I are going to wash clothes on in the rain! All we can do is sigh and smile. A very happy satisfied smile just thinking of those two.

When I got home, John and Meagan asked the questions, "So are you for Team Edward or for Team Jacob?" I hadn't known I had to pick a side. My response, "I swing both ways when it comes to Edward and Jacob!" Why do I have to choose a side anyways? Although, in a crunch, I like Bella may have to end up with Edward. He's so dreamy!
